Feathers, Fur and Fins

website_promo

L!vesites, Newcastle Museum and Newcastle City Centre Committee present Feathers, Fur and Fins - a fun, free, family event to be held over two weekends in August.

On Saturday 21 August the event will take place between 10am and 2pm in Hunter Street Mall and on Sunday 29 August the event will be held at the Honeysuckle Boardwalk.

Put on your safari helmet and ride a camel courtesy of Walkabout Camels. You’ll be on top of the world on these giant desert beasts!

If you prefer to stay on the ground play among the feathery and furry in the animal petting zoo, brought to you by Oakvale Farm.

Make friends with baby lambs and cute little ducklings; you might even get to feed them lunch.

But don’t become lunch for the baby alligators from Croctstars! These scaly creatures are only for the brave to hold.

Also look out for the reptiles, birds and creepy crawlies from Hunter Wetlands Centre.

You can even bring out your own animalistic qualities and have your face painted just like your favourite animal.

There are no bookings required and refreshments can be purchased at the venues.

L!vesites is an initiative of The City of Newcastle, Hunter Development Corporation and Arts NSW.
