Dinosaurs at the Museum

School's out from Monday 19 December right through till Australia Day and there's plenty happening at Honeysuckle to keep kids entertained and parents sane.

Newcastle Museum - Hatching the Past

Newcastle Museum is open from 10am till 5pm, seven days a week during the school holidays and will only close on Christmas Day.  The museum will serve up plenty of fun school holiday activities:

  • From 2 to 20 January - the museum goes mad for dinosaurs with a range of activities such as making a dinosaur puppet, a T-Rex t-shirt and even a dinosaur tail to wear home.

All of the museum's permanent exhibitions will be open throughout the school holidays as well as the travelling exhibition Hatching the Past which invites visitors to touch real dinosaur bones, dig for eggs, experience hands-on exploration stations and view animated video presentations featuring well known dinosaur experts.

General admission to Newcastle Museum is free.  Entry to travelling exhibitions and some school holiday activities attract a fee.

Contact Newcastle Museum to find out more and to reserve a place in one of the many school holiday activities.
