Honeysuckle is drawing small and large companies into the area, with commercial development focused mainly in the Cottage Creek Precinct in line with Newcastle City Council’s planning guidelines.

The precinct has attracted large corporations to its A-grade commercial spaces, including Sparke Helmore, Telstra Country Wide and the Hunter Water Corporation.

PricewaterhouseCoopers is another large company that has reinforced the business sector’s confidence in the area, with Honeysuckle House Stage 2 being named for the business, which located there along with Honeysuckle Development Corporation and other government agencies on the building’s completion in March 2006.

Coming together in one large, centrally located office at Honeysuckle is proving to be not only convenient for large companies as they can streamline operations, but is also boosting existing businesses in the CBD by creating more demand for goods and services such as dry cleaning and cafes.
