Commercial Activity

The majority of the commercial activity at Honeysuckle is centred around the Cottage Creek and Honeysuckle precincts. These areas are being developed as part of the Honeysuckle Development Corporation’s charter to provide around-the-clock activity in the area.

Progress: Construction is underway on a 14000m2 office building with completion scheduled for late 2008.

Cottage Creek Precinct is the last precinct with land remaining for development. This land is due to be released to the market from 2007.

Lee Wharf
Lee Wharf is the project name for the largest area of land released by the Corporation and is an extensive and diverse mixture of residential, commercial, retail uses and public domain to be built in five stages.
Progress: Stage 1 & 2 four buildings complete.  Construction on Lee Wharf Stage 3 and Serviced Apartment building underway.
Investment: $300 million
Jobs: 721 (full-time for one year), 379 in construction, 342 indirectly in a range of sectors

Wickham Waterfront site: The Glass House

The Buildev Group is constructing a commercial office building with retail at ground level.

Progress: Construction is well underway with completion expected in the second half of 2008..
