Honeysuckle can be accessed from Wickham, Civic or Newcastle Rail Stations. A bus interchange, at Newcastle Rail Station, and the inner-city and suburban buses which run along Hunter Street and Hannell Street, are also a short walk from most Honeysuckle precincts.

  - Honeysuckle Car Park was extended with another 80 car parks at the end of 2006 creating both short and long term parks.

  - A permanent car park, with 100 spaces accessbile for the community, will be constructed as part of Lee Wharf Stage 4 and 5.
  - Each development is required to provide adequate car parking for residents and commercial tenants.
