The Corporation engages Hunter Valley Research Foundation, twice a year, to include five questions in its Hunter Region Domestic Omnibus Survey. Five questions are asked which assess community attitudes towards developments in inner city Newcastle.

Question 1: How appropriate would it be to develop each of the following options along Newcastle’s Harbour: a good quality residential development; a good quality commercial development; a good quality retail development; and a publicly owned Foreshore Walkway? [show results]

Question 2: Do you think the development of Lee Wharf, into a mixed-use area that combines residential, commercial and retail with waterfront open space will contribute to the revitalisation of the Newcastle CBD? [show results]

Question 3: Considerable new private sector development has begun in Newcastle’s CBD in recent times. How much do you think the work done by the Honeysuckle Development Corporation has contributed to investor confidence? [show results]

Question 4: Overall, how successful do you feel the Honeysuckle Development Corporation has been in its task to regenerate Newcastle’s harbourside land? [show results]
